Petits textes poétiques pour apprendre le Français
Hello. Here are three little texts I wrote yesterday. I hope it will help you learn French. Translation is after the audio file in case you need it. It’s quite litteral, please forgive me if it’s not real English.
Il te dit qu’il s’appelle Antoine. Tu lui dis que tu t’appelles Julie.
– Enchantée Antoine
– Enchanté Julie
He says to you that his name is Antoine. You say to him that your name is Julie.
– Nice to meet you Antoine
– Nice to meet you Julie
Je joue avec mon stylo. Il se balade entre ma lèvre supérieure et ma lèvre inférieure. Je pose la mine sur le papier et j’écris quelques mots.
I’m playing with my pen. It is going between my superior lip and my inferior lip. I put the lead on the paper and I write a few words.
Il est tard
Je ferais bien de dormir
Mais je ne dors pas
Je regarde par la fenêtre les néons du restaurant en face
Et je me dis
Que c’est bon d’être vivant
It’s late
I better sleep
But I am not sleeping
I’m looking by the window the restaurant neon lights in front (on the other side)
And I’m telling myself
It’s good to be alive
