The Paris Book Festival takes place every year in spring at the Grand Palais Ephémère and lasts three days. It brings together publishing houses, authors, book professionals, and the general public. Here are 3 things to know about it :

1. There is a magnificent view of the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower

The Grand Palais Ephémère is located at 2 Place Joffre in Paris. There’s a large glass roof at the back of the building which overlooks the Champ de Mars with a magnificent view of the gardens and the Eiffel Tower.

You can can also type « Palais éphémère » into the Google search engine, and you’ll be able to see beautiful photos and maps.

2. You can attend conferences and book signings

Many authors come for meetings and signings.

Indeed, there are conferences every hour with very diverse themes. You can attend them for free, but you have to pays for the entry.

It is also possible to meet authors at their publishing house’s booth and have a book signed.

3. Each year, there is a guest of honor (a country, a city, a region)

This year (2024), it was Quebec.
